General Mentorship
The Players' Tribune, a sports media company founded by Derek Jeter, markets athletes and produces stories about athletes from across sports and across the country. Not only will the GM Players' Tribune team work with the athlete marketing team on a data-driven project, tracking company + athlete partnerships and understanding current viewership patterns across social media & podcasts, but the team will ideate a list of athletes that the team could work with in extensive details. This project spans data collection + analysis, competitor analysis, and athlete/team marketing strategies and tactics.
Working with the Dallas Wings, the only North-Texas WNBA team, will be the first time GM works with a women's sports team. In this project, the GM Team will work with the Dallas Wings' Operations team to help increase their basketball presence throughout North Texas and the Dallas community. Not only will we conduct market research + competitor analysis studies with competitor & partner teams, but the GM team will focus on a marketing campaign that helps with audience attendance.
The GM Extreme Music, a UK-based music brand that showcases songs from across unconventional genres of classical to movie scores, will focus on TikTok trend analysis and content creation. Not only will the team get experience with formulating interviews + understanding app/website features, but the team will work with Extreme Music's Operations' team to strengthen their online presence and relevance amongst fans.
The cider project will is a two part project with an initial focus on market research of college students’ consumer habits and how to best target these demographics for an online retailer like Cider. The second part consists of planning a ‘Holiday Bash’ showroom event on campus at the end of the semester, which will be promoted through social media content creation on Cider’s Instagram and TikTok
GM's Beacons' project, a media company that focuses on the "link-in-bio" feature to help with social media outreach and influencer presence, focuses on helping position and promoting Beacons’ social media output through research and experimentation. GM will work with the company's videographer and social media team to help with market research, followed by content creation and distribution Instagram and TikTok.
